What Is Stewardship?
We were fortunate to hear the inspiring words of Dr. Bob Stephen this Sunday as he spoke on Stewardship. I wonder what went through your mind as Father Ram said we would be hearing a message on Stewardship. What does the word "Stewardship" mean to you and how would you define it. No fair googling it! Stewardship to me is everything I do with everything God has given me. It has required me to rethink my understanding of what I "earn" and what I have been given as a gift. Each day I realize that I haven't earned a thing. Everything I have is gift, God's gracious gift, to me. From relationships to hobbies, from vocation to avocations, God "opens wide his hand" and provides everything and everyone in my life. Stewardship is how I think about and act with all that I have. Stewardship calls me to think about giving as a way of life.
